Introduction to Plant Propagation by Air-Layering and Cuttings
6:30 PM – 8:30 PM January 24, 2017 | Sarasota Garden Club
There are other methods of propagating fruit trees that one can use, besides grafting.
This class will focus on two of them – air-layering and cuttings.
Wayne Clifton is an outstanding expert on fruit tree horticulture, well-known throughout Florida and beyond. A longstanding member and former officer of the Manatee Rare Fruit Council, he recently retired as state fruit fly coordinator of the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services.

As an accomplished propagator of fruit trees and other plants, he has given classes on grafting to many audiences, including the TFSS. This presentation, however, will be a rare treat, focusing on two other important propagation methods, air-layering and cuttings.
