Just getting started in growing fruit trees?
Or do you know someone who is, and wonder what the key points are to help them get started out right?
TFSS Treasurer Darryl McCullough will bring a bit of his semiannual Fruit Tree Paradise Workshop to this month’s meeting. He will review his preferred methods for non-toxic ecologically oriented growing, and discuss some of the most rewarding fruits to grow in our region.
Darryl’s 2-acre residence and tropical fruit grove in north Sarasota County has around 200 fruiting plants of many kinds. More information about it, including details of monthly tours during the cool season, can be found at his website sweetsonggroves.com.
This is one of 23 Eat Local Week events this year.
